Compared to some leagues, Serie A doesn’t supply that many players to English clubs. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of talented young players in Italy who would do well in the Premier League.

Here are four rising stars that English top-flight teams should be looking at, either in this transfer window or beyond.

Federico Bernardeschi, 22
Current club: Fiorentina

Bernardeschi (above) plays on the right wing where he loves to cut in and shoot with his left foot.

He is very quick, strong and technically gifted and with all those attributes he is also a hard worker who always tracks back. Also, he is capable of playing as a second striker when needed.

Bernardeschi has played for Italy from the under-18s upwards and currently has seven caps for the national team. In short, a great Serie A prospect.

Domenico Berardi, 22
Current club: Sassuolo

Rising Serie A star Domenico BerardiThis talented young forward can be deployed in any position up front, as a winger, main striker or even as a second striker.

He has great pace, which means he can make great runs in behind defences. He is a very tactically aware, despite his young age.

His work rate is phenomenal and he makes himself available all over the field, which Premier League managers tend to like. This would make the Italy under-21 international a great addition to any club in the English top flight.

Mattia Perin, 24
Current club: Genoa
Rising Serie A star Mattia Perin

This acrobatic young goalkeeper has made over 100 appearances for Genoa and has also played for the national team but is still only 24.

Perin is a very good shot stopper who also has the ability to play it out from the back when needed.

He is good when it comes to saving penalties due to his height and lightning-fast reactions. Any club in the Premier league who needs a goalkeeper should look at Perin, who is an overall outstanding prospect.

Elseid Hysai, 22
Current club: Napoli

Rising Serie A star Elseid HysaiAny Premier League clubs looking to add a right-back should look no further than this young Albanian.

Hysaj made over 100 appearances for Empoli in a three-year spell before moving to Napoli in 2015. He is quick, good on the ball, holds a solid defensive line and puts in good crosses.

He captained Albania at Euro 2016, and has Champions League experience with Napoli. Hysaj would be a good fit in the Premier League, especially for the likes Manchester City who currently have problems at the back.
